Overview
UnderBlue is an on-device underwater photo and video restoration app. It does not require an account and does not use advertising or tracking technologies.
Photos and videos
You choose media through Apple's system photo picker, the Files app, or the share sheet. UnderBlue processes the selected photos and videos locally on your iPhone. When you share media to UnderBlue from another app, the share extension copies it to storage on your device that only UnderBlue can access. Your media is not uploaded to the developer or to an UnderBlue server. Completed exports are saved only when you explicitly choose to save them.
If you choose to email a photo or video to support, it is used only to answer your request and fix the problem. It is deleted when it is no longer needed for that purpose, and it is not used for anything else, such as test material, without your permission.
Diagnostics
UnderBlue keeps a limited diagnostic summary locally on your device. This may include the app version and build, aggregated error categories and codes, event counts, and Apple MetricKit crash or performance diagnostics. Local diagnostic summaries are retained for up to seven days and can be deleted from the Diagnostics section of the Help screen.
UnderBlue does not automatically transmit diagnostics. If you explicitly prepare a report and share it with the developer, the information is used only to respond to your support request, diagnose failures, and improve app reliability. Voluntarily submitted diagnostic information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes and is not sold or used for advertising.
The diagnostic report is designed not to include your photos or videos, media filenames, file paths, precise location, per-pixel information, or account identifiers. The service you choose in Apple's share sheet may process the shared file under its own privacy policy.
Purchases
UnderBlue Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. UnderBlue receives verified entitlement information needed to unlock purchased features, but the developer does not receive your payment card or banking information.
Third-party services
UnderBlue has no third-party advertising, analytics, or cloud-inference SDKs. Apple may process App Store purchases, system diagnostics, and Photos interactions under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.
Children's privacy
UnderBlue does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not provide social networking, chat, advertising, or public content sharing.
Changes
This policy may be updated when UnderBlue's features or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy is published.
